We both loved reading. Once at the flea market in Leiden, we bought the Edgar Allan Poe’s short story collection from a second hand book seller. We needed it in our house. It is still with me today, and my older kid is reading it.
Then she introduced me to czech literature: she came back from a holiday with an english translated version of “Saturnin”. Great book I would have missed without her. She got me more czech books later, but that one is still a favourite (together with the kid show Krtek, Krteček, another great piece she shared with me).
